Understanding your data within Postful

Data we collect #

Postful collects data on:

  • The posts you create with Postful
  • Images you upload
  • Generations you create and the prompts used
  • Business and audience information you provide
  • Some telemetry and interaction data to help us improve the application

What we do not collect #

We do not collect or track your activity on social media platforms outside of what you choose to publish through Postful.


Your Data & Your Privacy #

Your content within Postful remains yours. This includes:

  • Images you upload
  • Text you write
  • Audience profiles
  • Business information
  • Drafts and published posts

When publishing to networks #

  • Postful respects the privacy settings of each social media platform.
  • Your posts on LinkedIn, X, Threads, and Instagram follow the same visibility and privacy rules you set on those platforms.

Notes on specific networks #

  • Threads and Instagram: Publishing requires a Business or Creator profile.
  • X (formerly Twitter): All accounts are inherently public.
  • LinkedIn: Your post visibility is determined by your LinkedIn privacy settings. Pages are inherently public.

Managing your data #

Postful gives you control over your account and data.

Steps to request deletion or download #

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Account + Content Management.
  3. From here, you can:
    • Request to download content
    • Request to delete content
    • Request to delete your account

What happens next #

Follow-ups will be sent to the same email address you used to sign up.

When you submit a request, the Postful support team receives a message about the request

We’ll follow up with your request and notify you by email once your request has been processed, or reach out if more information is needed.
